Whatever the reasons of students’ learning difficulties are, one thing is sure: the solution proposed by Singleton would only make their struggle harder. In this particular case, failing students and “keeping them at one level until they did in time, one way or another, learn the material,” as suggested by Singleton, could only bring positive effects if it went hand-in-hand with the development of a comprehensive learning support

Standardized testing has not improved education in America. Standardized tests have been issued in schools all across the nation for years now. Some people like them and some people don’t. They do not help the student learn more information than they would without the tests. The U.S. has dropped from 18th highest scores in schools in the world to be in the 30’s on almost all of the subjects on the test.

Although my friends and I believe that competition is a great thing at school, some parents and schools are trying to argue that we should remove competition from school.
Education Reforms Education reform is legislation to improve the quality of education in the United States. Once, grades were the most important achievement for students. Modern day classrooms were unheard and unseen of more than 50 years ago. If we were to travel back to the past and step foot in classrooms of that time, one theme would run throughout. More than 50 years ago, classrooms were segregated and spoke volumes about the oppression of the colored population.
