I believe that outstanding teachers are committed to teaching. They are patient, courteous, punctual, always prepared, unbiased and are good listeners who support their students emotional and academic needs. They know all their students well and establish a positive classroom environment by accepting their student 's unique personalities and abilities where students feel free to share ideas without fear and judgment. Furthermore, outstanding teachers understands that teaching is a group effort. Therefore, they create a mutually respectful and honest relationship with students, parents, and anyone involved in the learning process. They are lifelong learners who stay current with professional developments.

However, teacher is the person whose main aim is to reveal every single side of inner talent of each student. Teacher can change the life of students, motivate them and inspire. A really good teacher in fact becomes a role model for students. In the most cases, students tend to follow their educator in almost every aspect. The knowledge, skills, and experiences that I have acquired have laid the foundation to become a successful health care teacher. I have learned in my entire life that compassionate work for patient’s care serve as a foundation to build on, enabling me to become a responsible healthcare worker, leader & teacher. Being a medical professional for me is my passion for work and achieving goals. The medical field is ever changing because it requires constant learning and staying up to date with current issues. A great adaptor is somebody who is a versatilists. They are “capable not only of constantly adapting but also of constantly learning and growing” (Friedman 294). Students who attend these schools are on their way to becoming doctors and general practitioners for rural areas. A doctor or general practitioner has “to prepare like someone who is training for the Olympics but doesn’t know what sport they are going to enter. They have to be ready to do anything” (Friedman 294).
A teacher is so much more than a mean of gaining information, teachers can some of the most influential role models in an adolescent’s life. Teachers like this need to be able to listen and communicate with their students on an equal level. Teachers have a bad habit of talking at students and not paying enough attention to their needs. Communication between student and teacher is what separates the loved teacher from those you wish would relocate to another galaxy. I believe my leadership roles in my high school marching band have prepared me to become a great teacher.
As many would guess education is likely the main thing that someone who hires an early childhood professional looks at. This along with someones work background are very important parts to hiring an early childhood professional. Although these are very important, there are many other very important things that are looked for when hiring an early childhood professional. In the article “12 Characteristics of Effective Early Childhood Teacher”, on NAEYC.org, Laura J. Colker talks about what makes a good early childhood educator.
As the current holder of this position, I understand the amount of work and dedication it takes to be a successful Teaching Assistant. Through my experience with this position, I have learned the demeanor an educator must hold while working with students. You must hold firm to your policies and curriculum, but also be gentle enough to where a student never feels as if they have failed, will fail, or fear asking for help. I have learned a multitude of skills while working as a Teaching Assistant, including: how to grade varying levels of academic work fairly and consistently, but also according to policy; classroom management; curriculum management; public speaking; working with students; and much more. My Reflection of Real Talk for Real Teachers Real Talk for Real Teachers written by Rafe Esquith has been thought provoking as well as entertaining to read. I have learned a great deal from reading this book and I hope to implement a few of his ways in my future classroom. I can relate too many of the stories that have been told in this book because this is real life in a school environment. I would like to break my summary down chapter by chapter.
They have a drive to succeed and appear motivated and eager to learn. Understanding how adult learners function is imperative for the instructor to understand so that learning activities can be molded to fit their learning styles. Providing education that blends well with their unique learning needs can help students succeed. Rico, Beal, and Davies (2010) discuss different learning styles and suggest that “accelerated students want faculty to deliver knowledge using many different methodologies”. Professor Robertson demonstrated using different teaching techniques for her students as well.
For example, one of my English literature teachers at university was the most outstanding example for me to be considered as an effective teacher.
Teaching is not controlling, but rather working with the students to learn, grow, and succeed together. By having strong student-teacher relationships with students, the classroom will be a place for each member to express their feelings and work together. Academic success depends on these close relationships and guidance that teachers and students have with one another. Classroom management aims at establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior. Thus, academic achievement, teacher efficacy, and teacher and student behavior are directly linked with the concept of classroom management.

Student Engagement A good teacher should know how to engage students in learning activities and be able to respond to diverse students needs in the classroom. The classroom observations I have seen these past week has shown me examples of good teachers. In all the classes I observed the students sat quietly and were always ready to raise their hands and answer questions. In my kindergarten class all the students were really into their assignments and wanted approval of their work from their teacher.
Being a teacher is a journey that has much to do with learning about yourself and being aware that what happens in your classroom reflects only on how are you with yourself. Teachers are not conscious that they project into students, and that affects how things go in the classroom. I believe the first characteristic of a good teacher is that he/ she is always willing to analyze his/her teaching performance. Second the teacher is humble enough to receive input about the development and application of techniques, learning from it and improving.
