Clearly, Reagan was a strong representative of the Conservative side. He was able to improve the plagued economy, which he had inherited.

I think the clip about Ronald Reagan is the most effective. It showcases what Reagan has achieved as President. Rather than making promises about what he will do or attacking the other candidate the ad simply talks about how the country has improved with him leading it. No, none of the ads really crossed any lines so to speak but the “Daisy” one did come pretty close by basically saying if you voted for Goldwater then the world will die in nuclear fire, however it was a different time. As for negative ads, they can, if not executed correctly cause a backlash that can hurt the other candidate.

Ronald Reagan is a man of many talents, whether its on the big screen in movies of in the white house running the country. Being a great young actor in hollywood wasn't enough for him. H decided to give it all up to go into politics and eventually become the 40th president of the United States during one of our countries darkest periods. To be a good leader, one of the needed characteristics is to be a great communicator for the people. After and even during his two terms of the president, they gave Ronald Reagan the nickname, “The Great Communicator.” Reagan not only gave some of the most quotable speeches of any president, but he also pulled countries and the entire world closer together. America lived on rampant wealth from the beginning of World War II through the end of the 1960s. America gained greatly from the destruction of every other major industrial power during WWII but by the early 1970s that prosperity was running thin. As an ideology, conservatism served as a blueprint in the society which promoted the idea of retaining traditional social institutions, beliefs, cultures and discourage social changes. Although the United States of America during the present day promotes liberalism, there was one portion of the country’s history that conservatism was promoted due to several factors.
