Hello, I am Ronald Wilson Reagan. I was born on February 6, 1911, in Tampico, Illinois. My father 's name was Jack Reagan and my mother 's name was Nelle Wilson Reagan. When I was born my dad came rushing through the door and looked at me once and said that I looked like a little dutchman and that nickname stuck. I was called dutch for most of my childhood. My dad drank a lot of alcohol and since our family couldn 't handle the shame, my family moved around most of the time. I was the new kid in school all the time . My first job was a lifeguard on the Rock River. I was fifteen years old. I saved 77 lives and a set of false teeth. Every time I saved a life, I would put a notch on a old log lying by the river.

I attended Eureka College, a liberal arts school, where I learned how to be a cheerleader. I studied economics and sociology.and I graduated with a C average. I played football, and I was captain of the swim team. During college, I was elected student body president and led a strike against the college president after he tried to cut back on faculty. In 1937, I signed a seven year contract with the movie studio Warner Brothers. I was in over fifty movies in three decades. One of my best roles in filming was Knute Rockne, all American and the film Kings Row. In 1938 I co-starred in Brother Rat with Jane Wyman. In 1940, Jane and I were married. Together we had two children Maureen and Christine but sadly Christine only lived one day and adopted a son Michael. Ronald Regan also served as the 33rd governor of California in 1967-1975. This was before his presidency. Ronald Regan was born in Illinois and graduated from eureka college. He later moved to California which is when he became an actor in Hollywood. Ronald was originally a member of the Democratic Party but he switched because of shifting platforms in 1950.
In the 1980’s when President Regan was president, he had such a personality that he made many Americans to believe his conservative ideas. With that we had periods of economic highs, soaring stock market profits which made a lot of people a lot of money. We had a turning point in the Cold War with the Soviet Union, and also had triumphed in American foreign policies. In 1981 Regan formed a coalition with the conservative Democrats and then passes major tax cuts. The people are happy with what Regan is doing and reelects him again in 1984.
During Reagan turn in Presidency he concentrated on foreign policy and the economy. He believed that America’s power was constrained by the government’s extreme regulations. Originally, Reagan had campaigned on restoring prosperity, on cutting intrusive government, and on strengthening American values. Reagan highlight was a formula called supply-side economics. His vision was to keep interest rates high to fight inflation, thus promoting economic growth, and to reduce the support for some social programs by removing some government regulations.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the American president during the course of Hitler’s attempts to overtake Europe. Unfortunately he was only allowed to send over money, supplies, and ships as the law prohibited him from sending soldiers. Since Roosevelt was exceedingly, exceptionally, and extraordinarily loyal and honorable man who never swayed on what he thought was right he did everything he could to aid his friends in England. Having gone to Harvard and growing his interest in politics, Roosevelt was involved in school government eventually leading to a life in politics which included being state senator and then Assistant Secretary of the Navy. Regrettably in 1921 Roosevelt became sick with polio.
During the Reagan presidency (1981-1989), the United States of America experienced tremendous change. Many things and ideas became controversial. Ronald Reagan himself changed his views and made very substantial decisions. So, what views did Ronald Reagan have? Why did he appoint three conservative judges on the Supreme Court bench?

Ronald Reagan Ronald Reagan was a character who optimized many of the people when things went very poorly. Many people said his personality was courage, courage that was natural to him, and a courage that was ultimately contagious. He also did do so much more like creating Reaganomics, strengthening nations, and improving many things in the economy. He also did many things that helped out the people, which was his main goal.
In grade school Reagan excelled over the other students. He received good grades and loved to read and write imaginative stories (Cohen 11). In In highschool he was popular among his peers and liked to participate in plays, he also played football, ran track, and swam. Throughout the summers he would work as a local lifeguard at Rock River. He in total saved 77 lives and kept that with him forever because he loved being seen as a hero (Brands 17).
I am very excited to apply to Ronald Reagan. I have fallen in love with the school after seeing it first hand. The school is very pleasant and comfortable. I have met many alumnus from Ronald Reagan who have only positive things to say about the school and its courses. My friend, Margarita Sanchez, is a former student of Ronald Reagan who is encouraging me to attend the school because of its great academic curriculum.

In America we have had many presidents, they have done their job to get America this far. I would have to say that president Ronald Reagan would be my choice in who I think was the best President. I know I wasn 't alive when he was president but if I could I would like to live that time period. President Ronald Reagan was the 40th president. When president Reagan was elected on November 4, 1980 he was the oldest man ever elected at the age of 69.
