I thoroughly enjoyed this book it's written by Mike Lupica who writes other sport books like this one. It kept my attention the whole time and was one of the few books that I actually enjoyed. It was about this boy named Michael he was a all star pitcher on his baseball team. Both of his parents were died when he was young and he is living with his brother, eventually some coaches from other teams think he isn’t within the age limit to play and he can’t find his birth certificate to prove his age so he isn’t allowed to pitch. He has to try to find his birth certificate and has to try to get by without pitching.

I find it confusing to refer to football “language” throughout scenes where significant events occur. “He had expected Carter to blitz and instead the big guard had pulled back and skirted the line, annihilating Jerry from behind (page 76).

I’ll start of with the supporting characters in the book, one word: overdramatic. Drama isn’t always my cup of tea and this book and its characters seem to love it, or that is what I felt sometimes (Maybe I’m the overdramatic one right now). For example; Melindas ex-bestfriends started ignoring her after she called the police during a party and that is relatively exaggerated to a certain degree, I get that someone would get mad but if you really are bestfriends then it wouldn’t be a problem to try to understand the situation and try to make up.

In the nonfiction novel Belichick and Brady by Michael Holley, the main point of the book is to describe how the pair has changed the game of football forever. This book is about arguably the best quarterback ever to play in the NFL, and how he and his coach went out to win five superbowls, and have various other records for wins and statistics. The book talks about a specific moment to describe Bill Belichick’s genius when dealing with troublesome players, “Belichick knew that he wasn’t going to trade or release law, and that training camp was four months away. He was going to let him talk, he didn't offer a single word in response” (113). This part goes to show how Belichick carefully calculates every part of his career, even things as small

This book shows that you can do anything you want to if you set your mind to it. Jordan was dedicated to playing football and put a lot of time into it. I liked how the book tied in love with the main theme of if you have a goal, you can reach it, by bringing in Henry and Ty. Once I read that Jordan was the starting quarterback on the football team, my first hypothesis was that she was going to be picked on and made fun of, only to realize that they accept her as one of the guys. I think that the book had a good ending and didn’t leave the reader questioning what will or would happen in the future.

The event I disliked the most was Scott quitting basketball. I didn’t like this because I wanted to see Nick and his brother play together on the same team because then I don’t think that their parents would have gotten divorced. Another thing I didn’t like about the book is that Nick’s parents left each other. If that didn’t happen then Nick would’ve been closer to his dad so he could get better at basketball all the time. The last thing I didn’t like about the book is that the reader never got to meet Nick’s Dad’s girlfriend.

The book title is Top Prospect . Top Prospect is about a Student athlete in middle school named Travis he was the left-handed Quarterback of the team for is middle school football team . He was well prepared he had the mental part of the game of football but he didn 't have the fundamentals of the game of football . Traviesas coach made a promise with Travis so he would actually have something to put his all into that he wanted , so he has a goal to reach .

The main character is a boy like myself, constantly growing, learning from his mistakes and enduring hardships that others typically do not experience. Ender had to get into the fight school, endure bullying, rank top in his class, become captain of a squadron and then undergo thousands of simulations to destroy the alien warlords. This novel provided me with an escape when my reality seemed like a barren wasteland. Aside from this, the plot was exciting, the narrative was not limited to one perspective, and I was never able to predict the ending until it was too late. Unlike the characters in The Road, I was very invested in Ender, and cared very much about the outcome

“The tale of Lord Zancrist” by April Patterson Clemens is a plot-driven fictional story set in a farm where the main character Peach Blossom is born, The author seems to know her way around the setting as she spent her childhood playing in the Texas woods, When I picked up the book I predicted that the story will be dramatic adventure which I love. The book tells the story of a little girl, who got Kidnapped into slavery and then encounters a strange man who changes her idea about who she is, the unfortunate accidents turn out to be an adventure on her way to self discovery. The main character in the story is Peach Blossom, she’s a playful, lighthearted girl.

At the end of the summer, Brian is in for the best weekend of his life when the Tigers have a home stand with Hank currently sitting at 499 career home runs. I really liked this book because I could relate well with the main character. Brian is the same age as me and we both like baseball. The plot is very interesting and the end, although predictable, is satisfying.

But he did have a minor change, he began to expose a little of his warm-heartedness, after Johnny and Dally died, he didn’t appear much anymore in the story line, but the readers can picture him maturing every passing day but still kept his generous humor. The theme of The Outsiders is about adolescence—discovery, pain, loneliness since in this heart-rending novel, all of the characters suffered for 1. Johnny and Ponyboy had to hide away since Johnny killed Bob, 2. The class conflict between greasers and Socs, 3. Johnny’s and Dally’s death, 4.

The book I read was Baseball Crazy, there are ten different stories through out my book. Reading the title makes you think that each chapter is going to tell you something about baseball. Like the rules of the game, but each chapter is a different story. Baseball Crazy was a book written to tell you about baseball situations they go through.

“The Big Field” by Mike Lupica is a great book for readers that love baseball. The book is a realistic fiction that has two hundred and seventy two pages. I enjoyed this book because I play shortstop for my baseball them just like the main character in this book. Keith Hutchinson but goes by the name “Hutch” is the main character in this book. He is a young boy that is an avid baseball player for the Cardinals his hometown team.

This book was great for people who like adventure! If I were to rate this book I would give it a 10 out of 10. It's a great story that can really relate to other girls that are in middle school. Rachel is an ordinary, 8th grade girl and she loves to bake. She's in a bit of a problem though.
