Stories of unexplained disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle started to reach public awareness around 1950 and have been consistently reported since then. The Bermuda Triangle is a place where planes, boats and even people disappear and are never found. While there are plentiful theories that can be used to explain the mysterious happenings of the Bermuda Triangle, three reasons present a more accurate description about the mysterious happenings.
The first theory that some people say could explain the mysterious happenings of the Bermuda Triangle could be the Methane Gas Theory. This theory states that the methane gas that is on the ocean floor is the cause of the disappearances of ships and planes in the Bermuda Triangle. “The bubbles from the methane gas can lower the water`s density enough to cause an object to sink.” (Wilkinson 5) “Bubbles from methane gas can be frozen on the …show more content…

This theory states that the an electronic fog comes out of nowhere and takes over the ship or plane, which interferes with all the instruments causing them to malfunction making you lose track of where you are going. “This electronic fog can cause the needles on instruments to spin losing your spot.” (Quaser 11) “The fog will come and go, but since the instruments were malfunctioning and you couldn’t distinguish where you were going thus making the pilot or captain to become disoriented.” (Quaser 11) “The fog seizes the aircraft and travels with you through your journey.” (Quaser 11) “You cannot try to move around the fog as it follows you wherever you go.” (Quaser 11) You can detect the understanding in this theory, but there is not that much evidence towards it because the fog would just come and go making this perspective to be poor. While this theory does make some sense, it cannot explain everything that has been happening at the Bermuda
