Going to college is very much promising step into worldwide opportunities when done with a strong will and determination. It provides us with many opportunities in the outside world. Even though college is expensive, the lifetime earning potential it provides results in its being worth the cost. Although universities and community colleges serve the same purpose, the two differ in their learning environment, convenience, and admission requirements. Community colleges can be very convenient because of their location, tuition and classes. While universities can leave a person paying rent monthly on a dorm or apartment which can be very costly to middle class family and not afford to go to university. According to Gina Bellefonte, “More than 70 percent of students at LaGuardia come from families with income less than $25,000 a year.” Which means many students who attend college comes from poor background and for many students this might be biggest barriers in their life since they have to work, and sometimes have kid which can affect their attendance.
