Should be a rook because a rook is the second most valuable piece on the board and he did impose the British raising taxes also he signed the Declaration of Independence which significant the right of individual freedom.
He won the election for Massachusetts colonial legislature in 1766.
One of the main John Hancock got involved in the Revolutionary war was because of the British Parliament began imposing a series of regulatory measures, including tax laws, to gain further control over its 13 American colonies.
The colonists were against the British regulatory measures and argued that only their own representative assemblies impose tax them. Thus John Hancock joined colonist and the Revolutionary War started

I think he was memorial warning John Hancock and Samuel Adams that the British are coming, and that could have saved lives if people wanted to flee Concord. Other than that though he really didn't do anything else to impact the war except join the Sons Liberty.
Joined the Sons of Liberty in the 1960s, which their goal was to protect the colonists from British rule and paying too many taxes.

The British tried to collect more taxes throughout the colonies and gain more power over the colonies. The British started out by passing the Stamp Act which was a way for the British to get more money by taxing all paper goods that is printed.
