Martin Luther King Jr once said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.” He believed that we could live in a society where we could all live together in peace. That’s why MLK Jr was important to the Civil Rights Movement. Also, he cared about many important issues that had to be taken care of.
