The book Schooled is written by Gordon Korman. The main character is capricorn Anderson. It takes place at a school by the name of Claverage school (Or as they call it C-Average). It also takes place at Garland Farms Commune where Cap lives. Caps grandma Rain gets hurt and Cap has to go to school.

There are many ways to find out how individuals would react in certain situations, for example, by putting individuals in a simulation. Causing stress and discomfort to individuals in order to gain knowledge is at times necessary. For example, Stanley Milgram’s experiments which focus on obedience to authority and the extent a person is willing to ignore their own ethical beliefs and cause pain to another individual, just because he is ordered to do so. Stanley Milgram writes about his experiments and results in his article “The Perils of Obedience”. In his experiments Stanley Milgram causes subjects who have volunteered to be a part of them some stress and discomfort in order to receive relevant results.

The theme of the story is mystery; inside the mystery we can find elements of sadness, unhappiness, and fear. There are two main characters in which one is Harvey, the husband who is telling the dream, and the other is Janet, the wife, who is listening to the dream.

Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious is a film rich with themes of deception and suspicion, between the three main character Alicia, Devlin and Alex. Two key techniques in film are known as cross-cutting and point of view editing. Each of these techniques are used throughout the film as part of the continuity system to advance the plot of the film and establish each character's personality. Both types of editing help to enhance the themes of deception between Alicia and Alex, as well as the suspicion that Alex has about Alicia and Devlin. Cross-cutting is the technique used to cut between two or more actions, more than one time in order to imply coinciding actions or actions that are meant to be compared and contrasted.

Structure in narrative film can be thought of as the arrangement of scenes and sequences, however deconstructing sequences and re-ordering them can create a whole new theme and mood in a films sequence. Phillips, (2005). Casablanca’s narrative plot has a beginning, middle and an end. It has a certain symmetry about it and follows a set of norms and conventions. For a viewer, Casablanca is easy to understand and it simply tells a story that is not ambiguous.

More importantly, the conceptual montage is what reveals the key things to highlight about the story even though the shots are not continually edited to make up a story. Each shot is taken from random times and at random places. This helps in knowing the theme of uncertainty, just like a person not living a civilized and lawful life will experience not having a life with purpose or sense of direction. It can be seen through how the shots are taken because it brings the viewer’s eye to different directions. And just like the characters themselves, they are uncertain of what their actions may lead them

The narration in the movie can be described as circular narrative as the ending and beginning when merged complete the timeline of the movie(1). This narrative structure is rather unconventional and reminds the audience at multiple instances that this is not real life and they are watching a movie. One of these instances include Mia (Uma Thurman) drawing a rectangle on screen while talking to Vincent (John Travolta) in car in front of Jack Rabbit Slim’s. The film includes multiple clues which link its narration style to Post Modernism. To understand this linkage, firstly Post Modernism should be described.
