The human brain is the “command” system of our nervous system, which means it is one important pink thing inside your skull. The way our body and all of our nerves are set up, the brain consists of about 86 billion and more nerves which are connected to tons of synapses that allow us with our everyday thoughts, the emotions we feel, and the movement in our body. Speaking on the importance of the brain, it is also important on how bad it can get if there were any damage to it. Traumatic Brain Injury (otherwise known as craniocerebral trauma) is injury to the brain which results to demolition of some of the brain cells, the neurons, and parts of the brain. Most TBI’s arise from sports or accidents and occur mostly in males.

The communication among neurons is quick and detailed and the other endocrine system is the slower but it is more widespread and the endocrine systems communication with the body and the behavior has long lasting effects. The biological approach also approaches the gender effects as a cause for human behavior. Psychologist Doreen Kimura and Elizabeth Hampton (1994) report is evidence where biological approach has explain human behavior with the of the gender factor. The experiments done by the above psychologists sated that the performance of women and men are different to levels of hormones, they have in their body.

Known as the “little brain”, the cerebellum is a very important part of the brain and the human life. Not only does the cerebellum regulate and control motor movement, but it also is vital to learning motor behaviors. Balance, walking, the movements of speech, and fine motor skills are just a few of the necessities to human life the cerebellum controls. The cerebellum is located behind the pons and the upper part of the brain stem, and it sits right below the main part of the brain. The cerebellum is nicknamed the “little brain” for its appearance.

This week when reviewing chapter one Psychology, Ch. 1 I learned a ton of useful information. I'll be honest when I read the word Psychology I got super nervous because the word seams supper intermating and challenging. Review this chapter renewed my confidence I am now super eager to continue this course and soak up as much information as possible.

The brain is split into three main parts; the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The forebrain (front) is the most biggest but complex part. The forebrain controls body movement. The midbrain is the middle of the two regions.

Have you ever wondered why you react to a certain situation, like how you jump when cold water is being poured down your back . How you react is an example of what the nervous system does for you. So what is the nervous system? The nervous system is a complex collection of nerves and specialized cells known as neurons that transmit signals between different parts of the body. The nervous system is responsible for controlling how your body acts and what it does, such as talking, walking, breathing, learning, and swallow.

Life energy flows from the highest levels of the subconscious mind and permeates our consciousness to the degree that we are able to receive it. Negative attitudes such as fear, grief, anger, insecurity, ill health, and so on inhibit and restrict this vital force of the subconscious and are the factors that dim and finally darken the flame of life. You will see how this life force, or buried attention, can be uncovered, restored, and again be put to use when you recognize the symptoms! You will see why this inner man is not a mystical concept or philosophical probability; there is such a force! It is real, it does exist, and you are its master!
