My 9th year I had the chance to get back into the cattle barn by showing a Maintainer heifer with my first year back and being awarded grand champion mainetainer heifer was beyond the greatest experience ever! However, in my years I’ve attend two camps one was at Tecumseh and the other was at Purdue University. Both those camps allowed myself to make new friends and learn to skills. Being a member of 4-H has driven me to my college major of Animal Science and Nutrition with all the livestock and research that has been done with all my projects. I plan to finish my career with making memories and more friends.

Working with my parents and participating in the FBLA competitive events have shaped me as a person. My parents own a struggling motel and do not have much money to hire employees. This encouraged me to step up and take over managerial operations and front desk responsibilities while they worked at another job. Because the motel is not vastly technology advanced, the room renting process and bookkeeping was all on paper. I have seen firsthand how tedious these processes could be on traditional pen and paper.

Aside from studying diligently, I also participate in extracurricular activities. Before joining Frontier, I used to do traditional dance in my home country since I was 6 years old. The experience I gained from the years of dancing allowed me to choreograph a dance routine for school when I was 13 years old . This project taught me multiple life lessons. These lessons included concepts such as communication skills, detailed planning, leadership, and vital importance of keeping a commitment. My Eagle Scout Project has given me experiences, and vital practice with skills that most seventeen-year old’s do not receive until later in life. 1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
