World War 2 started on 3 September 1939. Although there were many cause for the war, like the failure of the Treaty of Versailles, threat of communism, and appeasement. Hitler and the Nazi party were the main cause, they were linked with all other causes, making them stand out as the ‘main cause’. Everything that had happened after World War 1; the Treaty of Versailles, the Great Depression, Communism and Fascism, all helped Hitler gain trust from the Germans, as he said he would ‘make Germany great again’. Starting another world war within 20 years of the ‘war that was meant to end all wars’.
Hitler was born on 20 April, 1889, in Braunau Am Inn, Austria. When World War 1 started, Hitler was enraged and signed up for the Bavarian army. He had many near- death experiences, such as being wounded, and being temporarily blind. For his bravery, he was awarded two Iron Crosses. DBQ 21: Causes of World War II Essay In 1939, the world’s greatest and most powerful nations were launched into World War II, also known as the worst war in modern history. The Second Great War included the central powers and the allied powers. The central powers, which included the countries of Germany, Italy, and Japan, committed belligerent and combative actions which opposed the League of Nations and democratic countries. In opposition to the central powers, the allied powers included the countries of Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union and the United States during the war.
Similar to the first World War, World War II was a dispute between powers and or countries and involved the death of million of civilians and militants of those disputing countries. The major cause of Hitler’s political success was due to the tremendous amount of fear that people associated with him. The fear of Hitler is what forced the government to grant him the enabling act, which then lead to the rise of Natsism. President Paul Von Hindenburg thought of Hitler as a threat to their power, so as a tactic to suppress his authority, they thought by electing him into office and appointing him chancellor was enough for him to feel some sort of power and settle down. It gave Hitler a voice in the government and a say what goes on in decision making,so they assumed this would satisfied Hitler and keep him contained. They were wrong.
Nazis popularity and Paul von Hindenburg helped Hitler to chancellor. Hitler promised “the disenchanted a better life and a new and glorious Germany.” Nazis became popular with unemployed, young people, and members of lower middle class. In the 1924 election, no one even knew who the Nazis were.

World War One generated a period of serious financial and political instability which plunged the German population into homelessness, unemployment and near-starvation. The people were distressed. They needed a leader who paid attention to their views and opinions -somebody who could stop this calamity and change Germany into a powerful nation once again.
It’s 1939, Hitler has risen to power wreaking havoc on other countries. This is the start of what is known as WWII. Taking a few steps back is WWI. It all started in 1914 and ended in 1918, this is commonly referred to as the “Great War”. This war dealt with the Triple Alliance, the Triple Entente, the Central Powers, and the Allies.
The first way in which Hitler appealed to the Germans can be attributed to nationalism. Nationalism, excessive pride in one 's country, caused Hitler and the Nazi Party to seem attractive because it was almost second nature. Germans ' hearts burst with pride and "supreme love of their fatherland..." (doc 2). The people of Germany loved their country, and therefore, loved their leader. They were willing to drop everything and fight for Germany if their leader ordered them to.

The Treaty of Versailles was constantly being violated because of the ineffectiveness of it and the League of Nations it created. Jack, a main character in Lord of The Flies, reminds me of a horrible man in history, Adolf Hitler. They both have done horrible things. Hitler and Jack have a lot in common, but they are also dissimilar. These two evil people obtained their power in varying ways yet they used their power in similar ways. In Lord of the Flies, Jack rules over most of the boys when he comes to power.
