How Did Theodore Roosevelt Influence American History

Teddy Roosevelt was the 26 president of the United States. Everyone loved Teddy because of his leadership skills, his diligence, and he was a loving man. There are four faces on Mount Rushmore which are Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt. Why is Teddy on Mount Rushmore? Maybe it was because he protected the environment or many he improved Public health.

Shortly after his birth, his youngest sibling, Elliott was born. He lived in New York throughout his childhood, giving him the opportunity to witness Abraham Lincoln’s funeral by looking out a window with his younger brother. Despite the fact that Theodore is known lay recognized by the nickname “Teddy”, throughout his childhood, he despised the nickname, so he asked his family to call him “Teedie”. For Theodore’s education, he was homeschooled as he had an illness and asthma. It was very common to be homeschooled during this time, do to all the illnesses spreading around.

Theodore Roosevelt is one of the American presidents who are remembered for the changes that they brought or made in this nation. He was the 26th president of the United States and he is remembered for his transformations and important quotes which are useful today. Germany and Japan were by this time rising to power and FDR could not control this. Franklin promised his people a new deal once he got to power and he truly delivered the promise.

He did everything in his power to do the right thing for everyone who was struggling. Franklin D. Notably, Roosevelt was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906 for his successful efforts brokering the end of the Russo-Japanese War. Beyond his political career, Roosevelt was a remarkable author, publishing eighteen books during his lifetime (such as The Naval War of 1812, Theodore Roosevelt: An Autobiography, and The winning of the West) and countless articles. Roosevelt also had a family which he loved dearly; his accomplishments as a politician and soldier could never compare the joy he’d known as a father of six, husband and son. Roosevelt life as a whole was one of honor and success, however there is one aspect of the man that I find the most commendable, his treatment of man, “There are good men and bad men of all nationalities, creeds and colors; and if this world of ours is ever to become what we hope some day it may become, it must be by the general recognition that the man's heart and soul, the man's worth and actions, determine his standing.”

Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States is considered one of the best presidents in the U.S.A. for many reasons. He regulated business, contributed to the conservation of the land, protected workforce labor, and improved civil progress in America. Not only did he improve the United States during his presidency but also during his times as a statesman, author, explorer, soldier, naturalist, and reformer. Roosevelt contributed during his time of presidency by regulating business and labor. The square deal was a part of Roosevelt 's domestic program in order to protect and conserve natural resources, business corporations/workers, and consumer protection.

He is best known for ending the great depression and creating the social security program which we still use today. He ran two times becoming president both of those times. Fdr accomplished many great achievements in his time of being in the office but unfortunately he passed away in his second year of being president in his home cottage in warm springs. Fdr lived in new york for most of his younger life before he moved to go to a school at the age of 14 that was meant for helping wealthy young kids become what their parents wanted them to be and this school was called gorton school. Where he would learn the ins and outs of politics.

Roosevelt is known as one of the greatest presidents in the executive office. He impacted the way the president makes changes and how they communicate with U.S citizens. FDR’s style of presidency was to talk to American people through radio broadcasts called “fireside chats.” This gave the president more power because the people trusted him and his ideas. With that trust, he has less resistance from others to follow out his plans because they know what he is doing.

Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt is viewed as one of the best Presidents in the United States, but how did he get such a reputation? Where did it begin from? How did he develop such character? The answer to all of these questions starts in his roots. Theodore was bred for success, from his father’s background, his education, and his moral/ethical views.

Prior to losing the election of 1912, he helped the U.S with by doing anything he could to uphold America and its citizens. He also aided in American access to the Panama Canal. On economical terms, Roosevelt was the trust-buster, breaking all of the bad trusts in big businesses. He also was the president who enforced the Sherman Antitrust Act. Socially, he preserved millions of acres of land, entitling citizens to interact and have leisure time, and wildlife to prosper.

Roosevelt’s presidency opened up creativity of progressive movement, lending the prestige of the White House to welfare legislation, government regulation, and the conservation movement.

In any poll by historians or American citizens, Theodore Roosevelt ranks among the top five presidents of the United States. He is undoubtedly one of the two or three unique individuals who ever held the office and was an instrumental figure in shaping the nation we now know. Without his passion for education, he would have never been in the position or had the determination to be one of the youngest presidents of the United States. Without his education, he would not have been able to accomplish what he did and had the keen mind and other traits that he had. He was a keen observer of life around him and his education was very important to him.

He was hit with polio in 1921, FDR spent much of his adult life in a wheelchair. A whole generation of Americans grew up knowing no other president, as FDR served four terms in office(16 years). Roosevelt’s social programs reinvented the role of government in Americans ' lives, while his presidency during World War II established the United States ' leadership on the world. WWII threatened world peace and the Great Depression was actively wearing the U.S. away. Few other times in U.S history required someone of FDR's caliber to lead America through such a storm.
