However, the accelerated BSN calls for online learning, especially to provide working nurses with an opportunity to horn their critical knowledge and skills needed to assume high levels of responsibility in the nursing field. Through online learning, you still have the support of the faculty and staff who understand the students’ time, energy, and career development. You can access the faculty staff through web-cam technology to get one-on-one attention and course assessment.
Before commencing an online BSN program, students are taken through an orientation course that may run for five weeks where they learn the skills of becoming a successful online student, course format and policies, and resources used.

AACN Baccalaureate Essentials The AACN Baccalaureate has nine essentials, essential number two “Basic organizational and systems leadership for quality care and patient safety” applies to baby boomer nurses retiring and leaving a big gap in the workforce. With baby boomers leaving the workforce, there will be a demand for nurses and the supply of nurses available will be short, young, and inexperienced. This will affect the quality of care and safety of the patient, which is why this issue needs more attention. Working towards preventing this issue needs to start now as nurses can’t wait till it happens.
The requirement of taking the NCLEX-RN is completing an approved nursing educational program follows the guideline and regulation established by the board of nursing (National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 2018). I am the last child in a family of eight that has aspired to pursue my education at the graduate level.
