Tea Party: Prior To The American Revolution

Thomas Fitzsimons was born In 1741, in Ireland (exact date and place unknown) and died August 26th, 1811 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Fitzsimons and his family traveled from Ireland to Philadelphia, in the mid 1750’s. In 1763 Thomas went into the trading business, with his new brother in law, George Meade. When Parliament reacted to the 1773 Boston Tea Party with punitive measures, which the Americans called the Coercive Acts, Fitzsimons felt that if British warships could close the port of Boston, no city in America was truly safe. These concerns forced Thomas into the patriotic cause and politics.

The Tea Act of was one among many measures required on the American settlers by the energetically obligated British government inside of the ten years paving the way to the American Revolutionary War. The demonstration's way of thinking/basic truth/rule reason for existing wasn't to lift income from the areas of a country however to save the fumbling (group of islands) Company, a key performer inside of the British (process of people making, selling, and buying things). When looking at the social and political changes that took place during the early American colonies you can see a steady progression towards ideologies that would lead to the Revolution. When you have different levels of government being put in place by the states depending upon their needs, where rural areas had different court systems than more urban areas, you see a level of independence for governance that the colonists began to see the benefit of having, separate from the rule of the Crown. To counter this increase in independence. the Crown implemented ever changing political positions that could be assigned to those who were loyal to the Crown and the social hierarchy that was prevalent in Britain at the time. The Tea Act allowed a company to send its demand of tea to America without paying any taxes. Colonists did this demonstration because they were angry at the British Government for taxing them without representation. The American Revolution was unavoidable. America was under the power of tyranny, which is why the colonists broke away for the British monarchy.

Out of all the effects of the Populist party, the effect with the greatest impact is the idea that the downtrodden could organize and have political impact. The very recent example of this was the rise of the Tea Party in this last election. Unfairness and unaccomplished goals can lead a faction of a group to rise from the ashes and spread like a wildfire. How the structure of the US Political system reflect American ideas about individual rights and the purpose of government is all the acts and wars our people did for us and mistakes even helped us get the freedom that we have today. They fought for our freedom because it was unfair in their days and they did anything and everything to get there rights. I mean just think about it, waking up thinking your going to get a big land and nice food when you are actually going to find yourself getting burned by hot tea in your mouth. Even worse getting feathers all over your body because that is exactly what happened in the boston tea party. However, in 1773, the East India Company noticed that there was an overproduction of tea and its prices surely would decline (“The Third Imperial Crisis”). Tea was one of the, if not the, most valuable asset to many members in Parliament. Britain was forced to impose a new Tea tax on the colonists, which was aimed to keep the price of tea high. Even this act was reasonable in the eyes of the British, but to the colonists, this was just a British way of assuring dominance considering it was now for profit rather than to pay off debts. The Tea Party began as an activist group and mainly focused on economic issues. This grassroots movement is to a large degree responsible for the Republican Party’s continued move towards the far right, and it has caused infighting amongst Congressional. Perhaps the reason so many is confused and unable to fully explain the anger seen within the Tea Party. I don't really have a clear understanding of what the Tea Party did to lose in Louisiana. But, but what I remember about the election is two things it seemed like they were fighting against their own party and that they weren't United, so it shows that they could.

America was founded on the idea of peaceful resistance to both laws and the government in place. When colonists wanted to show Great Britain their distaste for the King's ruling of them, they dumped many barrels of tea from British ships in Boston Harbor into the water. This ignited the revolutionary flame amid the colonies and ultimately led to the revolutionary war. Without that act of peaceful resistance, the King would not have received the message from the colonists that they were no longer going to sit quietly and let him take advantage of them by taxing them without representation and forcing them to buy British products.

The Boston Tea Party was a violent, courageous, and an eventful act that took place in 1997 because of constant disputes. It started to become a large issue when the British and English colonist constantly disagreed about the unfair taxes that were charged from the British. The colonists didn’t agree to the taxes at all the the government officials formed a plan. The British put such a hefty tax on the tea because they realized the demand was so outrageously high, and they could make a much larger profit off of it. Colonists did not want to pay the huge taxes, so they started buying/smuggling tea from East India, but the British wanted to have the colonists to buy tea from them because of the taxes.

The Tea Party movement is an American political movement known for its conservative positions and its role in the Republican Party. Members of the movement have called for a reduction of the U.S. national debt and federal budget deficit by reducing government spending, and for lower taxes. The movement opposes government sponsored universal healthcare and has been described as a mixture of libertarian, populist, and conservative activism. It has sponsored multiple protests and supported various political candidates since 2009.

The boston tea party occurred when colonist as a way of rebelion attack british by throwing the tea that they found in their ships. And some people wonder why they did that and historic events show that there were French Indian War before that make the colonists to have an economic crisis so they can pay for the products. And the unique product that haven’t tax was the tea.

The Victorian host had to have the perfectly proper tea party. The tea party was never “just a tea party” to the Victorian women. The party could mean their whole reputation. If they wore or said the wrong thing, or showed up at the wrong time then their reputation was gone. That is why the host always made it clear about the time place and appropriate apparel.
