The key word in this definition is “concerned”. Anything concerned with agriculture as a whole is, in fact, under the agriculture definition.

The main characters in the movie trading places are Billy Ray Valentine, Louis Winthorpe and the Duke Bothers. All four men have a very distinct language and how they present themselves. The way Valentine speaks would suggest that he is not well educated and that he does not care what people think of him. In 1925 without telling the head of the school board, Mr. Jordan Ida Bidson, a fourteen year old takes over her teacher’s job secretly after the teacher left when an emergency popped up with her mother. Ida and her fellow classmates continued on with their studies hoping not to repeat everything that they learned this year. Until the county examiner comes, she finds out what they are doing but agrees to not tell Mr. Jordan if every child takes the exam. Ida and Tom, the only two eighth graders in the school were the only ones that had to take it to pass the eighth grade and move on to high school. Ida accidentally told Mr. Bixler, Herbert Bixler’s dad that they have not told Mr. Jordan about what they were doing at the school house.
This web page from the US Department of Agriculture’s website gives an overview of every aspect of the Agricultural Act. On the overview, it gives a graph showing where the outlays are going. In each tab, it specifies what the bill does for each industry. In the first tab, regarding crop commodities, it says among many things that two new programs will be created to compensate farmers in the cost it takes to create crops. It creates two new programs for dairy and livestock as well.
During the depression, agricultural product prices continued to drop. When Roosevelt became president, one of the first issues he addressed was the “farm problem.” He would go and visit these poor farmers and promise some type of change. Roosevelt created the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933, which brought immediate change and provided crop reduction. This Act paid farmers not to plant, in exchange for cash payments.
