Why I Join PASA

The first time I heard about Americorps, it was my first year as a transfer student at Georgia State University. I had no idea of what the program was and what it consist of. The moment I search and read about the program without doubt I wanted to be a part of. The reason why I would like to join Americorps program because of the purpose it exhibits. Americorps represents the theory of idealism.

One of my biggest roles I have played during my high school career was being a DECA Vice President. This position I took on Vice President of Communications. Being V.P. of Communication was something so special to me because the previous DECA officers felt that I would be one to fulfill the duties of V.P. of communications. The impact this made of my life was very heavy because I learned a lot and gained a deeper love for DECA. I have learned how to communicate with others more, manage time wisely, and plan accordingly.

It was awesome when my sister’s cheer team Synergy got first place at her cheer competition and won a trip to Orlando, Florida. Then we went to The Mall of America and went to the amusement park and road rides. Then later we went to dinner with all the girls on the cheer team at Dicks Last Resort, i would recommend going here if you're ever at The Mall of America. For the reasons above this trip to The Mall of America was totally amazing.

I admire the mission statement of the PAS program, as I am a firm believer in providing excellent care to all populations. A Physician Assistant, as well as any other medical professional, should provide compassionate care to those needing it, despite their financial status, race, disabilities, and more. As a future PA, I want to advocate for all populations and let their voices be heard, inside and outside of the walls of medicine. One reason I am compassionate about advocating for my patients is because I understand what it is like to be in their shoes.

I volunteered at my local chapter for my senior year of high school. I got to work with the phenomenal staff at the chapter. I had the pleasure of meeting families who were very strong. This organization has a very favorable standing from my point of view. This is probably one of the best charities in the U.S. and around the world due to their timeless efforts to support families in need.

For my first diversity event I decided to attend the 43rd annual Mankato wacipi (Powwow). I chose this event because I attended some like it when I was younger. I always have admired Native Americans and their deep connection with their spirituality. I remember in fifth grade my elementary school hosted a Powwow that my mother and I attended. This was the first time I have ever been exposed to the Native American culture and the memory has stuck with me till now.

I'm honored to have been part of this propitious program. Even though my time in the program was short I got to experienced things, and learned skills that I believe wouldn't have been able to experience in other program. I appreciate the

I remember the email telling me that I was nominated for the Posse scholarship because Emily my organiser for my summer job saw good leadership skills with me and she wanted me to do my best with the posse and to never give up. The posse interview was one of the many things that students can go to and gain inspiration from it they teach you valuable lessons. Seeing the difference faces, different ethnicities made me happy because It was not just one race, but many and all of them were leaders in many different ways. But when I was there my stomach was rumbling but not because I was hungry, but because I was nervous

Goal for my audience: I want my audience to get to know the impact Pi Beta Phi has made on my life. Introduction “When you’re a Pi Phi, you will find a support system like no other. The bond of sisterhood means that you will be surrounded by amazing women that will push you to become the best you can be, offer advice and support in times of need, and help you laugh and have fun through your college years. It doesn’t matter what competitions we win or what awards we receive; what matters is that everyone is allowed to be themselves and each member makes friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.”

I was the vice-president and the nursing club student council representative while in Montgomery College. I formulated and implemented some policies pertaining to the club. I developed a mentorship program for freshmen. Moreover, I set up a program of feeding the poor in the nearby shelter. I am currently the group leader of the education shared governance committee.

I think that being an APTA member starting now, would be another step on my road to becoming a real professional adult. I think that one of the great benefits for members is being a part of an increased advocacy for the profession. If accurate advocacy for all physical therapists results from a larger number of APTA members, I am happy to be a number. I think there has been a lot of hard work in bringing the physical therapist up to a doctorate level; I think that it should be recognized accordingly with, among other things, direct access. Another benefit that is important to me personally is the networking available through APTA.

This was the first year here and I was a little nervous about being in such a humongous and well-mannered facility. I made it to nationals in Barrels, Poles, Goats, Breakaway, and Ribbon Roping. My favorite event is poles even though I do not do well at it. My second favorite event is Breakaway because in my family, we are all ropers and all my siblings do very well at it. My third favorite event is Ribbon Roping,

It has impacted me in a great way in skills such as optimism, confidence, creativity, commitment in each assignment, among other benefits. I have used the activities I have learned in the program in other extracurricular activities such as after-school clubs. In the different outreach with the freshmen. The roles that I felt most comforted with is ... On the other hand, there are others that have cost me more.

Throughout my childhood and adolescent years, I always had a dream of joining the military. Though it was a choice, I still did not have any inside information of what it would be like, and the requirements and specifics of the Army. It wasn't until 2005 when I decided to join the United States Army that all my concerns and questions were answered by a recruit; and I was guided through the whole process to enter and prep for the Army. If it was not for the confidences and motivation of my recruiter back in 2005, I might have not made my leap and probably would not be in this uniform today. Becoming a member of the United States Army recruiting team means having a physical and mental toughness in order to perform efficiently.
