Many medical treatments cost $5 million, legal fees for $.5.5 million, long term prison costs for $5.2 billion, long term medical and disability for $1.7 million and mental health care for $583,000. Gun control should be allowed if they use the guns the right way and not abuse it by using it for the wrong reasons or just to go around shooting people. In order to have a gun you should be able to shoot it and you need to have a license to show how old you are to see if you're old enough to have a gun. There are some pros and cons to gun control. One pro is that three quarters of the guns that was obtained legally by the killers, and if there was pro gun control advocates believe tougher gun laws would potentially prevent any crimes. The gun control laws protect children and their families, the moms demand action, people believe that the guns in America is creating a public health crisis that is attacking the children.

It is hard to imagine what degree of sadness in their family may suffer. In this way, many people think the government should have stronger gun control regulations.

Design Journal Criterion A Introduction: My global cause is on the impacts of gun control in the world (primarily the U.S.). The reason I chose this case is because of the past yearly (2014-2016) protests and debates that don 't seem to have definite solutions at the best. The problem overall is the idea of control of firearms. There are pros and cons to that I see for gun control itself and I believe that there is a big problem with how it’s presented in our country: People get shot, take away the guns.

To determine a solution that will be both effective and constitutional, we must look at statistics and research that has been conducted to determine the best course of action.
The number of incidents of gun violence last year in the United States was about 60,000. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
With more control over who has the guns and what they are used for, the amount of violence will drastically decrease. In short terms, guns equal violence with usually equals death or injury. Control over guns could slowly lead to taking control of the amount of deaths caused by guns and acts of violence. Getting this under control will most certainly play a part in the decrease of deaths caused by gun incidents. Like I said with guns comes violence, this could refer to the novel “Swallowing Stones”.
