Resolution- The resolution in the story is that The Bulldogs made it to the championship game. They had to play with 10 players, but they were able to play, because there was no rule saying they couldn’t. The night before the big game there was a party right in the center of the town, because Will wrote a letter to be put into the paper about the journey of making this team. He encouraged everyone to come to the game, and even the New Balance guy showed up with all his support. The town did nothing less that then that, and they filled the bleachers at the big game. It was a tie game in the 4th quarter with 30 seconds left, and Castle Rock had to ball with one play remaining. Will knew it was going to Kendrick, so he read the route perfectly, and jumped in front of the throw and took the interception back for a touchdown. He was the
They had won. James did it, he had done what he’d promised, to win it for Wesley, not for himself, not for his team, but for Wesley. He was crying tears of triumph, James had gone through so much, outlasting an injury, having his best friend die, no one would step in the way of James, no one. James didn’t party after the game, he didn’t do anything except go to the cemetery, where his friend was buried. He set the number 17 jersey on the gravestone, and wrote on the back right under the number 17 “We did it Wesley, we won the state title again, I wish you could’ve been here to share the moment with us.
The book “Outsiders” in written by Malcolm Gladwell and it is about the stories of extremely successful people. In this book he discusses this thing called the 10,000 hour rule. I do not believe in the 10,000 hour rule.

The overall message of this book is that hard work leads to success and that is a very important life lesson. These creators worked through many obstacles, persevered and succeeded in their goal. There were many emotions during the end of the game for the fans and owners. “A man was crying tears of joy” (Eisenberg 326), and that man was one of the NFL creators, Bert Bell. He showed real emotion that day because this meant a lot to him and he was so happy with the outcome.
For his last home game, the coach let him wear the uniform and surprised McElwain by letting him play for the last four minutes of the game. Those four minutes changed his life and transformed him from an ordinary kid with a simple dream to
Throughout the book Knowles teaches the reader each of the boy’s has their struggles but, each boy also has their own unique strengths. For example, when Finny came to get Gene to go and watch Leper finally jump out of the tree and Gene could not go and watch that because he had to study
Many battles, wars, and competitions, such as athletic events, have an underdog and a favored side. The underdog is typically known for losing, but that is not always the outcome. In the Revolutionary War, America were the underdogs against a well-trained, British army with more soldiers and equipment. Although they were the underdogs, they never backed down, and ended up earning our country’s independence. Another great example of the underdogs coming out on top is during sports, or athletic competitions.

Hannah Grayson was a girl that was a player on the team. She is very tough and arrogant and has a very powerful leg. Joe Tyler or Will's dad was the coach of the team and he has a lot of passion for the game of football and can be very inspirational before their games. Toby Keenan is a very tall, muscular and athletic football player that plays on the team. Dick Keenan is Toby’s dad and is also very passionate about football like Joe Tyler but is also a loud mouth and has said some negative comments at their games such as “wait a second you finally figured out the game started (Lupica207)?”
In this book report I will talk about the book “The outsiders” written by S.E. Hinton, I will do a review of the story, the point of view, theme, symbols and my opinion about this book I really liked to read for the English class. The story is about a boy named Ponyboy who lived in a small town in Texas with his two brothers Darry and Sodapop were a gang war was taking place between two different social class people: The Socs and the Greasers. Ponyboy will learn the consequences bad acts can bring to your life in the middle of a gang war. The greasers were a middle class and not so social kind of people who liked to get in trouble and The other gang The Socs were a most of them a high class or middle-high class group of people who where they went they will always go in groups of like three or four people.
Why do we tend to root for the one that doesn’t stand a chance in a fight? Why is it that they become victorious when battling a giant foe? Do we all have a Goliath somewhere and we are like David waiting to defeat it? The underdog in a story is always the one that does not stand a chance and overcomes the impossible.
There Is More Than One Type of Hero In “Notes from the Underground”, a fiction book by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the Underground Man is not like the traditional main character in most other fiction books. Often books have a tragic hero where he or she either saves the days or unfortunately is killed. But that is not the case for this book, the main character shows characteristics that do not fit along the lines of a tragic hero at all. This paper argues that the Underground Man is most definitely not the tragic hero, but instead an anti-hero.
