The story is told through a first person perspective of adult Billy remembering his experiences as a child. The point of view is the perspective in which a story is told from. Having the story be told in first person gives a reader a more emotional and personal feeling towards the story, which allows them to take in more thematic details for the story. It also amps up the effect and supportiveness of the other literary elements. With each quote Billy says the reader can feel his emotions on a personal level.
I buried Little Ann by the side of Old Dan. I knew that was where she wanted to be. I also buried part of my life along with my dog… Then, with painstaking care, I carved their names deep in its red surface. As I stood looking at the two

The plot clearly showed the theme through how the events of the story were arranged by having a reader learn about all Billy’s and his dogs adventures, which showed the unique bond between them, and by showing how God played a role in Billy’s life. The characterization of Billy has the readers unmistakingly understand that Billy is a one of a kind dog owner and is also a strong believer in God’s power. The point of view strengths the supportiveness capabilities of the plot and characterization along with having its own supportiveness by increasing the amount of emotion and personal feeling felt by the reader. Overall, Where the Red Fern Grows is an amazing novel to read to view how man and animal can share an amazing bond with each other, so amazing in fact that God himself is only powerful enough to break it. After reading it one will never forget the amazing adventures of Billy and his two puddles of joy, Little Ann and Old

Point of view: The point of view in the book is in third person, by Bruno showing Bruno personal thoughts on what is happening. The author uses point of view to show Brunos personal thoughts on what is happening around him, like when the Jews are being beaten over eating certain food or spilling wine and the dinner table. Also Bruno is wondering why the Jews are behind a fence and not allowed to go anywhere and why the soldiers say the Jews are not people and

On the other hand, if the point of view was switched to Dee, the way the reader views her, has a possibility of changing. Throughout the story, the speaker, which is Mama, is recalling when Dee came to visit. When the point of view of the story changes and is then told from Dee’s point of view, you are now able to have access to the thoughts she has throughout this visit. In an article about point of view, the author stated, “For example,
Narrative point of view can express a different perspective to the reader by presenting experience, voice, and setting. Perspective is a particular way or attitude of considering events, by whatever character’s point of view the narrator takes. A character’s background and experiences in their life is a key to help the reader relate to the character. Culture may provide more insight about the circumstances, and can change a reader’s perspective, as well as the voice of the narrator - sophisticated or naive.
Frederick Douglass uses point of view to show the love that one embodies. Point of view is used to show the love his mother had for him even from being separated. In the story, Douglass talks about being separated from his mother and father as a child. He barely had seen his mother to really know her and was able to only at night.
Point of view is an essential component of Grendel because it gives us a perspective of how Grendel sees the world. Having the ability to view the story from the eyes of Grendel gives the reader insight into how Grendel thinks, how he sees people, and how people see him. The first person point of view in Grendel reveals a deeper understanding of how isolation can shape one’s existence and change them over time. When Grendel was younger, he was a curious creature who was intrigued but terrified of the outside world. The first person viewpoint of the story allows us to see how the way the humans treated Grendel took away his innocence and isolated him.
Zoe In 1961, Wilson Rawls published a novel titled "Where the Red Fern Grows" during his early adult years. He wrote this novel based on his childhood when he lived in the Ozarks. Thirteen years later, a film based on the novel was released and directed by an American director named Norman Tokar. "Where the Red Fern Grows" is about a boy named Billy who lived in the Ozarks of Oklahoma and desired to have his own hunting dogs.
The book you chose Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls was a book I enjoyed. I liked the story because the 10 year old Billy Coleman was always seeking new adventures. He was at first determined to buy two hounds. After he bought his two hounds, he went on adventures and competed in a contest with them to kill coons. Every night he and his dogs would be determined to kill the coon they found.
In A.S Byatt’s “The Thing in the Forest”, the author uses the elements of a short story to craft a dark, mature fairytale. The title of the story, “The Thing in the Forest”, in the sense that it foreshadows the main idea of the story. The audience expects more than just a "thing", as listed in the title. Byatt emphasizes through figurative language that the main characters, Penny and Primrose, are dealing with more than just a creature in the forest that affected them for the rest of their lives, and that with this use of symbols to express a larger meaning to objects in the story. A.S Byatt emphasizes more on plot and setting, characters, theme and symbols.
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” The professional athlete Pele said this about soccer. The theme of this book Where The Red Fern Grows By Wilson Rawls is Determination. This quote really shows how hard Billy works and how determined he is to catch a raccoon.
In literature, writers use a variety of points of view to convey their plot; these points of view can be first person, second person, or third person. In “The Tell-Tale Heart”, the unnamed narrator describes he or she killing an old man. “Harrison Bergeron” is a dystopian story about Americans in the future that have handicaps in order for them to be equal. “A Good Man is Hard to Find” tells the story of a grandmother and her family taking a trip to Florida that went wrong.
The use of first-person point of view, gave a better understanding of the thoughts coming from the janitor and how he analyzed 14-A’s mental condition throughout the story and used it against her. By using that point of view, the reader is able to dig into the janitor’s reasoning for wanting to mistreat 14-A as he had done. The janitor’s point of view has no limitations due to him being the main character and his being able to speak to the elderly lady in the story. Hinshaw uses the first-person point of view to reveal what is going on in the story, instead of not letting the readers know what is going inside of the main character’s mind. Not only is the point of view in the story important, but as a matter as fact so is the
