Focusing on ADHD

ADHD, otherwise known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a widespread diagnosis you can have. I have ADHD, which is a large part of my life; being unable to focus without taking my medication worsens it. Yet medication may help me with my diagnosis; it affects me in a way that will help me. It makes me feel like I'm being punched and kicked in the stomach when using it. I will thoroughly analyze this, including cures, medication, and symptoms people can have while having attention deficit disorder.

When I interviewed him, he said,” I can't focus at all, it makes everything so much harder to do.” He states ADHD is a significant impact on everything. When asked to do something, he will usually procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do the task. I understand it makes everyday life so much more complicated, and I can relate. When I asked him if he did not have many tools, he said, “ I have some help in learning, like some little things; during star tests, I will be in a different room and get a calculator to help me focus.” This information helped me understand others' views on the condition. While there is no known cure for ADHD, many tools will assist in the symptoms, which will help with the quality of life for people with the condition. With the state, people who have it can learn to control their symptoms and make life easier and better, while you can go to counseling and use medication. While the knowledge of ADHD increases, people can try to create better drugs and assist those suffering from the condition.

In this case, there’s not enough information to accurately identify the specific etiology, but there are a few likely factors. Firstly is genetics, the most common cause. When close relatives have had ADHD, or perhaps ADHD runs directly in the family, there is a very likely chance that it will be passed down. My father has ADHD, and as a result, I do as well. ADHD is generally diagnosed in the first 12 years of their lives, when symptoms are at their worst and many of them may occur in the first few years of life.
Chapter 8 starts with rick parsons, who is incensed psychologist and was diagnosed with ADHD when he was younger. He starts to mention that when he was younger disorder such as ADHD were not recognizer nor diagnose. Students who were often distracted and often were out of control were often looked as bad. The treatment give to the students was dentition or suspension. ADHD is one of the most common disorders of childhood, about 5 percent of students are affected.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder which stands for ADHD is a common behavioural disorder.
“ADHD & Me” is a compelling true story about Blake E. S. Taylor. We, as the readers of his memoir, follow his journey with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and the struggles he faces. His story shows the readers a different perspective of the hyperactive and impulsive child. It shows that a child with ADHD is not out of control and should be given more opportunities to learn, grow, and discover whom they are. Blake’s story is a great way to learn and understand that those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are able to live happy and successful lives.
I believe that my ADHD creates challenges in my job such as getting off track, not always finishing everything assigned to me, and the tendency to talk with my coworkers instead of doing my job. Despite the challenges I face in the work environment, I have to give myself reminders on what I am supposed to be doing and try to make more of an effort to get my job done. In addition to the obstacles I face in the work environment, ADHD provides additional obstacles in the relationships that I have with my family and friends. I do not share the fact that I have ADHD with my friends and that I need to take medicine just to feel and operate normal, so I occasionally feel alone or bad about my schoolwork knowing that I have to work harder for the grades I receive. Similarly, issues arise within my family because my parents have the tendency to get upset when I forget to finish my chores, or my desk is a mess and unorganized.
Although boys and girls can both have ADHD it is more common in boys(Thompson, 2010) one of the ways that ADHD children get treatment is by bet a drug a medication thought some might argue that that is not the best way. Some doctors are wary of prescribing medication for ADD or ADHD, especially when treating young patients—but the majority rely on psychotropic drugs. This program challenges the status quo, supported by a staggering amount of testimony and documentation. Incorporating detailed interviews with psychiatrists, neurologists, and education experts—as well as parents and kids who have suffered because of rigid prescription practices—the program analyzes links between school procedures, the medical establishment, and Big Pharma. The Overdiagnosis of ADHD Millions of children each year are taken to their local doctor's office to treat what their parents describe as restlessness and hyperactivity. More often than not, they will be diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The growing epidemic of ADHD has left researchers puzzled by its increase of diagnoses each year. From 2003 to 2011, diagnoses increased by an average of five percent each year (Data and Statistics, 2016).
The brain and central nervous system problems, with a child on the spectrum, will include issues such as: poor coordination, balance, memory, attention, processing speed, reasoning, intellect, judgment, mood regulation, and difficulties with hyperactivity. Even though this list of challenges is long, it is important to know that there are just as many social and behavioral problems as well. Children with FAS tend to have difficulty in school. Their ability to stay on task and set goals, such as research papers present a large challenge to children with FAS. They also have poor social skills, causing trouble getting along with others.

By connecting many different ideas, the CDC stresses the importance of promptly diagnosing ADHD to properly treat the disorder before too many problems are caused for the individual. If ADHD is not properly diagnosed, there will be “a tremendous amount of psychological, financial, academic, and social burden to the individual and the community” (Hamed et al., 2015, para. 35). The CDC states that a child will not grow out of certain negative behaviors, which will make time at school, home, or in everyday life difficult and burdensome (CDC, 2022-b). Warning against falsely diagnosing other issues like sleeping or learning problems, the CDC provides the reader with plans and/or ideas for properly diagnosing and treating the disorder through medical attention, therapy, or simply living a healthy lifestyle (CDC, 2022-b). Because ADHD has such a huge effect on children in terms of focus and other practices, the CDC makes the reader assume that steps must be taken to make an individual’s life better.
Despite having autism, he was able to understand given math problems, knows how to spell words perfectly, and had a pretty big vocabulary for his age. However, he saw a word he didn 't know he got really frustrated. He felt very confused and felt that he was inferior to the other kids for not knowing a few words. His school work was like every other normal kid, about average. When it came to school work that required reasoning, he became utterly confused on the given assignment and decides to give up on it.
ADHD stands for Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and often affects children, and teens. In some events, it may last until adulthood. ADHD can often cause low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and difficulty at school and work. ADHD affected Williams when he was a young child. This especially hurt Williams because of what was happening during his early life.

The three mental ailments associated with ADHD are inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Living with these conditions is no easy task. Anyone of those symptoms can individually lead to not having good grades, or even losing track of a simple conversation. Put all of them together and you have a dangerous mix that in undoubtably going to lead to poor school performance and an inept social life, if the proper means are not taken. Therefore, the effectiveness outweighs the risk when it comes to this medication, which in turn makes ADHD medication a promising and efficient treatment for children with attention deficit hyperactivity
