Erica is a science teacher at a high school. She is also a meat lover and dines at every restaurant that contains eggs, chicken, beef, and pork. A new restaurant opens and she is willing to try the food. The beef and pork combination she ordered had an unusual taste and was not cooked enough, but she dismisses it and continues eating. She finishes her meal, pays the cashier, and leaves the restaurant. A few days later, Erica feels sick from the food, decides to go to the restaurant, only to find the restaurant temporarily shut down. It has been reported that the food had been contaminated with salmonella enteritidis, and suspects that a certain number of customers have been infected. An interviewer asks Erica her opinion about the food she ate from the restaurant, and is immediately concerned for her well-being. She rarely leaves her desk unless it is lunchtime or the school day is over. Fortunately, she has student aides for every class, so they do the heavy work for her while she can lecture her students. Two weeks later, Erica fully recovers from the disease. She notes that she was to recover sooner, but it may have been delayed because she did not rest while she was at work. These industries hold significant value in the United States, employing more than half a million people. The meat industry holds the nations largest agricultural sector and sales of meat and exceeds over 100 billion dollars a year. The meat packing industry treats their employees with inhumane work conditions and unfair wages in the United States, most companies go to great extend to hide these truths.

Morison also claimed to state that, “It doesn’t matter if the chickens get sick. All of the chickens will go to the plant for processing” (Kenner, Food Inc.) From this interviewer’s statements, Carol Morrison is a credible source because he spends most of her time in the chicken farm and she has interacted with many other companies like Food Inc. To show ethos in this documentary, the author used his personal experience along with what the industry has stated.

During this developmental interview, I chose to conduct an observation/interview study with my one of my cousin’s child. This child is a 4 year old girl and will be identified as “child K” in relation to her first name. Her parents had no problem letting me interview her, but I had them stay in the same room as us. The purpose of this interview was to observe the child’s physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development. I observed her behavior and gave her several tests to show how well she has progressed.

Over the past few months, the class has been discussing typical and atypical language development and the assessment and intervention of children with language delay or disorder. In line with this, the students were asked to observe children aged 0-12 years old with language problems for 2 hours. For this requirement, I went to a therapy center situated in Quezon City last November 16, from ten (10) A.M. to twelve (12) N.N. The center has multiple rooms that are used for speech therapy and occupational therapy. During my observation, two speech pathologists and two children with language disorder were sharing one speech therapy room.
Once the dinner began, Amy got more and more embarrassed with her family as some of their actions are rude and gross to most cultures but not to theirs. “My relatives licked the ends of their chopsticks and reached across the table, dipping them into the dozen or so plates of food”.
