In American history, presidents have to constantly establish a sense of trust between the government and its citizens. Every time the president makes a speech, they are evaluated and picked apart for every word spoken. Rhetoric devices are the backbone of speeches and the use of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos is what helps a speech reach its full potential. As

The United States of America is faced with many problems and concerning topics every year. Every citizen holds on tightly to their own beliefs and viewpoints, ultimately hoping the nation’s leader can lead the country in the right direction. Every election year, the next presidential candidate gives an important speech, known as the inaugural address. In this address, the candidate informs the nation of his or her intentions as the president. In these inaugural speeches, the upcoming presidents use many different rhetorical strategies to get their main points to the citizens of the country.

Today I am honored to be standing here presenting the Conn Smythe trophy to my friend Duncan Keith. The Conn Smythe is awarded to the most valuable player during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I first heard of this tremendous defensemen back in the 2009-10 season where he helped prevail the Chicago Blackhawks to their first Stanley Cup victory since 1961. It seems like Duncan never has a bad season and makes very few mistakes on the ice. The amount of time he puts into this game really shows his dedication and love for hockey.

America’s politics regain popularity, vocabulary, and effective strategies to break down clams against their opponent using rhetoric. In one of America’s recent presidential race, Barack Obama used the strong word, “change” to describe the new possibilities America could concur under his leadership. Using the elements of rhetoric, the vocabulary had a strong meaning and imaginable possibilities that every citizen would want to strive for. Additionally, when candidates demonstrate their future plans, the nation has a better understanding why it is beneficial to the public good. Aristotle writes, “Persuasion is clearly a sort of demonstration, since we are most fully persuaded when we consider a thing to have been demonstrated.

John Rayburn, you are running for the next Congressman of Louisiana. That comes with unbelievable responsibilities and sacrifices, but there is no feeling greater than representing the state you know and love. We have a long campaign ahead of us, which means we should begin discussing our strategy. To preface that, I would like to share some knowledge I have learned through past campaigns. Dear fellow nasty women and bad hombres, America is one the greatest experiments in freedom and liberty history has ever known. We are a nation that was built on the minds and ideals of immigrants. Our Founding Fathers created America so that everyone could have a chance at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are aspects of my country, I would never change because they are what make us unique. The glow of America casts a ripple of hope upon those who struggle.

General Purpose: To persuade my audience to believe that children being placed in adult prisons is wrong. Specific Purpose: They number of children being housed in prisons is growing each day. Central Idea: In most cases, more than not children who are tried as adults are being placed in adult facilities are being denied they’re right to an education and are being placed in dangerous situations, these things can lead to a permenant idea of that being where they belong as well as a higher chance of reconviction. Whether you like guns or you hate them, you must understand that the ownership of firearms is a right; A RIGHT…NOT a privilege. You must understand that America is a republic, NOT a democracy. In a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward, a debate is formed. One debate, the Presidential Debate, is focusing on one question what makes a good president? The two candidates, one of which will soon be the President, uses a mix of eye contact and physical movement to get the audience's attention and show what they mean and what they are feeling they also use things like pathos, ethos, logos, the rhetorical analysis and fallacies to help support their debate. In the Presidential Debate, both candidates use rhetorical analysis, such as ethos (Credibility) in their responses to the questions that they were given by the audience.

Fallacies in political speeches: Donald Trump announces he is running for president. Donald Trump’s one very distinct “ability” is making a vast amount of people react to what he says. Be it good or bad, this makes him gain more attention not only in the United States, but all over the world. At the end of the day, what really matters is if his statements have, in fact, any effect on people’s votes. So for those who are not yet sure about his sincerity, it only takes a not to deep analysis of his speeches to spot serious fallacies.

This mini project paper analyses the approaches used by the President Barack Obama in his inauguration speech which he delivered on 21ST January 2013. The study focus solely on the approaches used by Barack Obama to deliver his ideology as the President of the United States of America to get the public to be acquainted with his administration agenda moving forward to strengthen the democrats in the inauguration speech rhetorically. The discourse analysis was carried out based on the video recording of the inauguration speech delivered by President Barack Obama in 2013 which was then uploaded in YouTube and the findings of this research will be presented in textual analysis along with review of related studies.
