Dentist Personal Statement Analysis

As a student at Mountain Heritage High School, I started taking classes as a freshman to learn about architecture, interior designing, and landscape architecture. Second semester of my sophomore year, I wanted to become a Dental Hygienist. I started changing my schedules to classes that would help me in dental hygiene. Thankfully, I took a college class that would ease me into the medical field. It helped me to realize that Dental Hygiene is for me.

Many advantages are a bright side to the job. Education and salary are a very defining idea within the dentistry department. Scheduling, environment, work conditions, and opportunities are important for a dental hygienist. You never know how many patients or what kind of patients you will meet within a day’s work.

While working with dentists, dental hygienist should follow the instruction precisely and must be detail oriented. One should also have physical stamina as the work is performed by bending most of the time and also have a very good communication skill to inform about oral health and advice about different oral products and their benefits and uses to the patients. When I walked in through the door of the dentist 's office, I was a little bit nervous. I had done my best to blend in with the staff who all wore black scrubs. The front desk receptionist, Priscilla, told me to take a seat and I eased into the cold, black, leather sofa. I fumbled with my fingers nervously as if I was a patient about to get a root canal. Eventually, Frankie, the dental hygienist who I was to shadow, walked in through the door beside the reception desk and lead me to her office.

Abstract The main goal in becoming a Dental Hygienist is being professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of dental hygiene. In dental hygiene, there are several professional roles one can choose from. Some of these roles include that of being an educator, researcher, entrepreneur, administrator, corporate, clinician, and public health. The scope of dental hygiene has evolved since it first became a profession in the 1900’s (Wilkins, Wyche, & Boyd 2017).

When I first came to University of Bridgeport, I first heard about their dental hygiene program from my advisor, who had positive feedback to say about the program. Yet, he told me how competitive it was, because he wanted to make sure this was going to be the right path for me to pursue and that I could handle the pressure. My grades were not the question matter in this case. I set a pretty good standard for myself to follow to keep my place in the deal list, while aiming to advance myself in the presidential list. The most important thing for me was to make up my mind on what I see myself doing in the future, besides the need for nitpicking career jobs that are saved and guaranteed a satisfying salary.

My Education goals are why I chose APUS, When I graduated from high school in 2014 I started my ROP Dental Assisting program to become a Certified Dental assistant in the state of California so that I could get my foot in the door in Dentistry to one day become a Dental Hygienist. But now here I am two years later working as a full time dental assistant and I have no passion or desire in pursuing in becoming a Hygienist because its not something I feel I could really be happy with and do for the rest of my life. My real passion has always been with children I have always loved working with children weather it was when I was working at a daycare in high school or when I was a cheerleading coach for young girls between the ages of 4-9, I have

The good thing about dental assistant is that it's a fast growing field and you become one really fast. I'm really confused about becoming dental assistant or dental hygienist. Although dental hygiene is suitable for my age and the amount of free time I have. To contrast between dental hygiene and dental assistant, I will be talking about the three main ideas of these two fields. As a matter of fact, there are three main reasons to choose either of them and they are salary, work and schooling.

My ambition to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at University commenced in my teenage years, when I first came to London and visited the dentist. The professional approach coupled with a kind and compassionate nature and all of the different instruments and scientific technology the Dental Hygienist and Therapist used fascinated me. I am currently studying Dental Nursing at Teesside University. As population goes up, the general health will continue to soar the demands for dental services. Dental Hygienists help patients develop and keep satisfying oral care, they combine together to meet the oral health needs of patients. Dental hygienists are an essential component in the dental world, they provide oral care to a variety of ages, also Indian reservation to the ones in need, and a high paying salary that it is a career most would envy. Being around others is one of the things being a dental hygienist means to me. I thoroughly enjoy being around and talking to other people. Therefore, I am sure I will need a career that allows me to have personal interaction with others. However, dental hygiene is also about being helpful to these people and giving them a happier life. This is relevant to me as I notice the importance of helping others.

Being a Dental Assistant Dental Assistants can help change a person’s life in many ways. Dental assistants provide their patients a way to stay healthy within oral activities while also providing general happiness to a patient. Assistants work hand in hand with a dental hygienist observing, supporting, and caring for the patients need, whenever they need them. They work with tools, sit and stand long periods per day, and work in one of the dirtiest places on the human body, the mouth (Summary). Dental Assistants practice safety measures, just like any other doctor would, to assure the safety of themselves, along with the safety of their patients and organs that are being worked on from infectious diseases.

Ever since I was young, dentistry had sparked my interest for my career. Dentistry appeals to me chiefly because I had always wanted to be involved in a profession where I can help people. My love towards human biology especially human teeth also contributes to my career choice. Most importantly, I find human teeth interesting, often fascinating. Due to my compassionate nature, I have since long known that I would want to pursue dentistry as my career because I get to form relationships with my patients, work hand in hand with many people on a face to face basis.
