Sam Adams was born September 27, 1722, in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard in 1740 and will later be know as one of the founding fathers. He took out a loan from his father and gave half to a friend that never repaid him and he spent the other half. Then his father names him a partner in the family business and Adams make a weekly article which fails and in 1756 he was a tax collector but he failed to collect the taxes. He served as a legislator for Massachusetts from 1765-1774. He founded the Boston Committee of Correspondence which provided a powerful tool for communication and coordination. Think about it if Sam Adams was not there then what would have happened? Would there even be a rebellion for us to remember and look back at right now? if it did would it have had the same outcome? The second thing i would add to the monument is a torch in his other hand because he was one of the main people that sparked the rebellion that got them their freedom. It would symbolise the historical rebellion that was won and gained them their freedom.It also would represent all of the people who participated/died during the rebellion and the war for their freedom and to show his leadership and bravery.There will be flames on it to show the fire and the passion that was burning in their souls in order for them to move on and win their freedom.

Cesar Chavez Washington DC Monument Proposal: Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 as a first-generation citizen in Yuma, Arizona, US from latino-born parents. His parents owned a piece of farmland, but they lost it during the great depression. Not long after, after finishing middle school, Cesar was forced to labour in farms to help provide for his family. As the years passed by, he realized that not only were the conditions for farmers disgustingly ugly, but the payment they were receiving was close to nothing, and it kept all the workers well under the poverty line. During his twenties, he joined the US Navy and served in the West Pacific in the World War II aftermath.
This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.
