Many people think that for one to be healthy, they must be psychically active, but that’s not entirely true. To truly be healthy, they must take into account the three main elements that make up health. A health triangle can help a person achieve a state of well-being, for the triangle has the necessary parts for leading a healthy life. In order for a health triangle to be effective in one’s life, the person must understand what it is and how it works, and how to balance out and improve their triangle.
A health triangle is a diagram that checks on the different aspects of health. Those different parts contained in the triangle are mental/emotional health, social health, and physical health. Mental/emotional health refers to your psychological

A problem I have in the physical health section of my triangle is that I don’t spend a lot of time doing physical activities even though I should be. To fix this, what I’ll do is increase the amount of time I stay outside and get more involved in activities that makes me move. I also have to sleep more often, so I’ll have to create a schedule that fits in all my daily activities and gives me plenty of time to sleep. I already have a healthy eating habit which means that I’ll have a good boost of energy to help me get through the day. As for my mental/emotional health, I think it’s competent, but could still use some improvements. Even though I usually have a positive view of things and situations, I sometimes get pessimistic. Other than sometimes being pessimistic, I think I fit all the other qualities of being someone who has good mental/emotional health. My social health is also okay, but could I improve a bit more on my social skills. I need to be less shy/awkward around people. The relationships I currently have with people I’m close to is already healthy and good. By fixing and improving certain minor problems/issues in each of the elements of health, I can be the healthiest I can
In order to live a better life, we all need a sound body, a sound mind and a sound soul. I’m blessed to have all three (Essay Idea). My physical health is good (Paragraph Idea). Since, I have good physical health, I can easily perform everyday routine tasks, and I can enjoy everything.
In P5 of my work I am going to outline and discuss the strategies and procedures used in health and social care to reduce the risk of abuse. The aim of the independent safeguarding Authority (ISA) was established under the Safeguarding Groups Act 2006 to protect children and vulnerable adult to those who might abuse them. The strategy in order to achieve this is through mentoring people who seek access through their work, paid, unpaid and voluntary. As they have to be registered under the vetting and barring scheme and will be checked against one of two barred list. Reference can be defined as being information that is written by a pervious employer that tells the workplace what type of person the individual is and if their experience is valid and if they have the experience to work with vulnerable adult.
In the ever changing landscape of health and social care and children and young person’s settings there are many pieces of government legislation and regulatory framework that service providers and organisations must now comply with. For example Care Quality Commission (CQC) introduced the essential standards of quality and safety which are central to the workplace. Every staff member has responsibility for providing good quality social care. Social care governance is the process by which organisations ensure good service delivery and promote good outcomes for people who use services.
A society in which all people live long, healthy lives is the vision that Healthy People 2020 has set for themselves. Healthy People 2020 was developed under the leadership of the Federal Interagency Workgroup (FIW). Healthy People 2020 is the framework of an exhaustive collaborative process among the U.S. Department of Health and Human services (HHS) and other federal agencies, public stakeholders, and the advisory committee. Healthy People 2020 provides specific and important areas of emphasis where action must take place in the United States to achieve better health by the year 2020.
I strongly value my health and believe that health is our greatest form of wealth. When one lives a healthy lifestyle, it means more opportunities to explore the world, build families, achieving anything the heart desires and conquering personal goals. The behavior change philosophy fits my personal philosophy of health education the most because it involves goal setting, behavioral contracts and self-monitoring to help foster the modification of an unhealthy habit. The behavior change philosophy is very important because change is a process, not an event. Self-efficacy and motivation are key factors in successful behavior changes.
1.1 Identify the regulatory requirements, codes of practice and relevant guidance for managing concerns and complaints in own area of work. The Local Complaint Stage (1) Immediately after hearing of a complaint, contact the complainant to determine where their issues lie and what they would like to see as a result of the investigation. It is important that the local manager • Demonstrates a caring attitude and shows that there is a genuine attempt to understand the problem. • Ensures the complainant is aware of the complaint process and timelines • Provides the complainant with their contact name and telephone number • Obtains all complaint details at this point of contact to avoid the customer having to repeat themselves
The wellness of a human being has been broken down into five sections. These sections are: emotional wellness, intellectual wellness, physical wellness, social wellness and spiritual wellness. I think my strongest section for my personal wellness is my emotion, intellect and physical wellness. However, my weakest sections are social wellness and spiritual wellness. I believe that my emotional wellness is my strongest section.
In short, the biological model of health is mainly defined from the absence of disease, from the model that is well-matched with positive meanings in relation to balance of normal functioning. The social model health is actually a positive state of well-being and wholeness linked with however this is not mainly explained from the non-existence of disease, physical, mental impairment and illness (Gross, 2010). Overall the concepts of ill health and health are not balanced. Non-existences of disease might be part of health, however health is considered more than the “absence of disease”.
Introduction Primary care is said to be the “first point of contact” for people when accessing the health care system in Ireland (Department of health and children 2001). The World health organisation(1978) outline that one of the main roles of primary health care is to provide access to care for the most vulnerable but also to identify and rectify the factors which lead to their early mortality. The Alma Ata declaration (1978) was a huge milestone in the development of primary care and they explain how essential it is for all populations’ health. Unfortunately the vulnerable populations in Ireland suffer the effects of the social determinates and also the health inequalities and die younger because they put up with a healthcare system which “places lesser value on the lives of those with lesser means” (Wren 2002).
Self-introduction. Almost every one of us are so busy chasing our dream. Thinking about what we wish to have. But does anyone of you really thought about your personal health.
According to the Fantastic Lifestyle Questionnaire the strongest aspect of wellness in my life is my family, no tobacco use, no alcohol, no drugs consumption at all. Also, tried to get enough sleep and always enjoyed my leisure time. Family has always support me in my ups and downs in life, always supports me with great confidence and enthusiasm. 2.
It ignored a ‘mind-body connection’. Health however, is not simply limited to biology. “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not simply the absence of disease or infirmity” as defined by the World Health Organisation. The biopsychosocial model is an absolute necessity for clinical practice - it allows physicians to treat people who have diseases and not just the diseases people have. This will give us the ability to understand people beyond their biological functioning and to view human health in its fullest context.
In order to be physically, mentally/intellectual and socially/intrapersonal well and healthy, we must processed some of these traits: First is physically healthy. How can someone be physically fit? Well ofc, you must recognize the need for physical activity. Optimal wellness is met through the combination of good exercise and good eating habits. Us people, have the belief that it is better to consume foods and beverages that enhance good health rather than those which impair it.
Moreover, exercise can also improve the mental health as it improves memory, helps to sleep better, and alleviate stress. In the article “The Mental Health Benefits of Exercise,” (n.d) the author indicates that doing simple exercise can make a difference, regardless the age or fitness level, one should learn to make the exercise as a tool to feel much better. Thus, everyone has to take the exercises as a daily routine in order to enjoy good
When exploring what is health, it looks at the idea of an individual being free from illness or injuries (World Health Organization 1948). WHO further explains that it is the state of complete: physical, mental, and social well-being and not the absence of disease or infirmity (health context, 2018) In 1986 during Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, WHO said health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living, also is a positive concept emphasizing social, personal resources, and physical capacities. There are different aspects that contribute and impact a person’s health such as their: family and friends, education or job, body, spirit and mind, and all these need to balance to ensure good health (health context, 2018).
